In the spirit of the ongoing UNIFIL support to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), the UN mission’s Republic of Korea Battalion (ROKBATT) handed over 10 Barracuda armored personnel carriers (APCs) to the LAF’s South Litani Sector (SLS) yesterday.

Last week, UNIFIL Sector West Commander Brigadier General Stefano Lagorio inaugurated a project funded by the UN mission’s Italian peacekeepers to rehabilitate a major Lebanese archeological site in Tyre, south Lebanon.

A UNIFIL-facilitated olive harvesting in the south-eastern Lebanese village of Blida completed this week, with local farmers reaping the yields from the fields straddling both sides of the Blue Line.
