UNIFIL Head of Mission and Force Commander Major General Michael Beary today met separately with the Speaker of Parliament, Nabih Berri, and Prime Minister Saad Hariri in Beirut.  

UNIFIL’s Sector East (SECEAST) Command organized a 5-day joint training earlier this month on VIP protection at a UN position in Marjayoun. 

A workshop organized last week by UNIFIL’s Civil Affairs Office offered a platform for the UN Mission’s various military assets and officers from the Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF) in sharing experiences and best practices on policing techniques.
