Joint police training at UNIFIL base
UNIFIL’s eastern command organized a joint police training at its headquarters in Marjayoun. Twenty-nine participants from Lebanese Internal Security Forces (ISF) and UNIFIL Sector East Military Provost Units from Indonesia and Spain attended the joint training during the last five days.
The main topics covered by the training are security, weaponry, self-defense techniques, criminal investigation basics and first aid knowledge. It was based on professional skills and varied experience of all participants in an international environment. It also provides a platform for effectual dissemination of different regulations and instructions regarding rules and laws in their respective native countries and routine functioning to improve coherence, mutual confidence and streamline procedures across the Mission.
In their comments at the concluding ceremony, participants said the training offered them a good platform to exchange expertise between UNIFIL and ISF personnel.
