Irish and Finnish peacekeepers restore playground for children

UNIFIL peacekeepers from Ireland and Finland today restored an existing playground in the village of Ein Ibl in south-western Lebanon, that was is in very poor conditions of maintenance.

The peacekeepers undertook the task of restoring the playground by recognizing the need to give children living in the village the possibility to play in a proper area. The whole project was completed in just one day.

Using simple hand tools, the UNIFIL troops smoothed out and levelled the ground, and removed weeds from the whole area. The playground equipment was cleaned, painted and then reassembled on the renovated park.
