Mr. Kevin Alphonso
Chief of Operations and Resource Management (CORM)Mr. Alphonso is a senior United Nations executive with more than 29 years of progressively responsible experience in peacekeeping operations and mission support, following a career in the private sector in India and Bahrain. His international service includes assignments with the United Nations Logistics Base (UNLB) in Italy and field missions in Bahrain, Kosovo, the Syrian Arab Republic, Haiti, and Lebanon. He has held senior leadership positions as Chief Budget Officer, Chief Budget and Finance Officer, Deputy Chief Finance, Chief of Finance and Budget Management, and Officer-in-Charge of Operations and Resource Management. His distinguished career includes a special deployment to Haiti following the devastating 2010 earthquake, where he led the preparation of supplementary budget proposals supporting the humanitarian and peacekeeping response, and subsequently served as the mission lead for the successful implementation of Umoja, overseeing the transition to the United Nations' enterprise resource planning system. His expertise spans strategic planning, financial governance, integrated operations, human resources, ICT, logistics, crisis management, and organizational transformation. Mr. Alphonso holds a Master of Science in Accounting, with a concentration in Controllership, from Strayer University, USA, and has completed several professional qualifications in financial management, including Finance Business Partnering through CIPFA.
