23 Oct 2020 - After more than three weeks of engineering work in Beirut in support of and coordination with the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), to deal with the aftermath of the tragic 4 August explosions, a UNIFIL detachment of multinational force returned today to the Mission’s area of operations in south Lebanon.
22 Oct 2020 - UNIFIL today observed United Nations Day at its headquarters in south Lebanon, with its head reaffirming the UN Mission’s commitment to maintain the cessation of hostilities between Lebanon and Israel while allowing space for a long-term solution of the conflict between the two countries.

26 Aug 2020 - “On Tuesday, 25 August starting around 11:00 p.m., UNIFIL observed a number of flares fired from several IDF positions along the Blue Line across from Aytarun, Ayta Ash-Sha’b, Meiss Ej Jebel, Houla, Kfar Kila and Kfar Shouba in south Lebanon.
UNIFIL radars also detected mortars and artillery shells, mostly smoke, as well as intense UAV activities in these areas.
UNIFIL immediately activated its liaison and coordination channels and reinforced troops along the Blue Line.

Discussions focused on the situation along the Blue Line, air and ground violations as well as other issues within the scope of UNIFIL’s mandate under UN Security Council resolution 1701.
01 Jul 2020 - The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants of Lebanon, Nassif Hitti, today visited the UNIFIL Headquarters as well the Mission’s area of operations and the Blue Line accompanied by over 30 young Lebanese diplomats, to see first-hand the work carried out by the Mission in coordination with the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), in stabilizing the situation on the ground for almost 14 years.
18 Jun 2020 - A 15-member delegation of the European Union (EU) comprising Ambassadors and senior diplomatic officials accredited to Lebanon, visited the UNIFIL Headquarters as well as the Mission’s area of operations and the Blue Line today.
