The Internal Security Forces (ISF) organised on 19 April the eighth "Arab Police Championship" half-marathon race in Beirut city. The race was planned under the auspices of the Minister of Interior Nouhad al-Mashnouq and the supervision of the Arab Police Sports Federation and the Lebanese Athletics Federation.

During the half-marathon that kicked off in front of the Lebanese National Museum, around 1200 runners participated. The participants were drawn from the Arab police offices, the Lebanese sport associations, clubs and federations, as well as teams the ISF, Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), General Security (GS), State Security, Beirut Fire Department and UNIFIL.

Racers were thrilled to be part of the half-marathon, and some did not find it so hard. However, "the three to four last kilometres were a little hard because we were climbing upward and for me it was a little hard," a runner said.

Another UNIFIL Nepalese peacekeeper was delighted to complete in good time. "My time is one hour 31 minutes." He added, "I'm feeling good to race in Lebanon."
