The Command of UNIFIL’s Ghanaian Battalion (GHANBATT) changed during a transfer of ceremony held at the GHANBATT Headquarters in Al-Qawzah, South-western Lebanon last week.
Earlier this month, UNIFIL lost one of its peacekeepers, from India. On 16 July, the Mission’s leadership, representatives of the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) and fellow peacekeepers paid their last respect to Sergeant Ramesh Singh, who died of medical conditions on 10 July.
