UNIFIL Italian contingent has aided UNIFIL efforts, together with the Lebanese Armed Forces, to ensure stability in the Mission’s area of operations in south Lebanon through completion of two projects in support of local communities this week.
Since the beginning of the outbreak of COVID-19 Coronavirus pandemic, UNIFIL leadership put in place all necessary precautionary measures in order to prevent the virus infection among the Mission’s more than 11,000 military and civilian peacekeepers.
UNIFIL’s Indian peacekeepers this week donated 21 varieties of veterinary medicines to the shepherds and farmers of 13 villages in south-eastern Lebanon, following requests from the host communities.
