UNIFIL Force Commander Major-General Alberto Asarta Cuevas today received the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander General Jean Kahwagi at UNIFIL headquarters in Naqoura.

On 9 December, a UNIFIL vehicle traveling on a road at the southern outskirts of the city of Tyr was targeted by an explosion.

UNIFIL, in collaboration with the Association of the Friends of Ibrahim Abd El Al (AFIAL) and local authorities, today launched an awareness campaign aimed at educating the public in southern Lebanon about conservation and protection of water resources.
