On the occasion of the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action on Saturday, 4 April UNIFIL will conduct mine risk education and other activities across southern Lebanon.
Explosive Ordnance Disposal teams from UNIFIL's Chinese, Italian, French, South Korean and Spanish battalions will organize interactive sessions on mine-risk education, demonstrations of explosive detection dogs and improvised explosive device disposal, as well as static exhibits of explosive ordnance disposal and demining equipment in a number of schools as per the following schedule:
