    11 Aug 2009 - An exercise in large-scale disaster response was conducted on 10-11 August jointly by the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) and the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL), in cooperation with a number of government and non-government organizations in the village of Srifa in south Lebanon.

    27 Jul 2009 - The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Force Commander Major-General Claudio Graziano today held a meeting at the Municipality of Tibnin in south-west Lebanon with local authorities from the neighbouring towns and villages. Also present were members of parliament with constituencies in the area and representatives of the Lebanese Armed Forces.
  • UNIFIL Maritime Task Force joint exercise, 14 July 2009
    14 Jul 2009 - The United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) Maritime Task Force (MTF) conducted yesterday a Maritime Joint Exercise off the coast of Lebanon in close cooperation with the Lebanese Navy. The aim of this Joint Exercise was to improve cooperation and coordination between different maritime operations, MTF and LAF.
