UNIFIL’s Sector West Headquarters football team played a friendly match with a local club from Tyre at the Sour Municipal Stadium on Monday.

The event, watched by UNIFIL’s Sector West Commander Brigadier General Francesco Olla, community leaders and locals, was organized to consolidate the ties between the local population and the Italian contingent operating under UNIFIL’s mandate.

The local club, Tadamon, which plays in the Lebanon Championship, won the match by 6-4.

Following the match, the Brig. Gen. Olla and Tadamon team president exchanged gifts.
