Primary schools receive scholastic equipment from Spanish peacekeepers

More than 100 children of two primary schools in Ain Arab and Kleyaa, south-east Lebanon, received scholastic equipment from UNIFIL’s Spanish peacekeepers recently.

The Spanish peacekeepers, led by UNIFIL’s Spanish Battalion Commander Lieutenant Colonel Nicolas Gonzalez Chamorro, donated stationary items like books, notebooks, colouring kits and sports equipment.

The entire inventory of items arrived from a school in Jaca, in northern Spain, which is the hometown of the current Spanish Tactical Group of UNIFIL’s Spanish Battalion.

The directors of the School, Hiba Atwi and Ibrahim Nicola, expressed their gratefulness for the support from the Spanish Kingdom and UNIFIL Peacekeepers, adding that the support will help them teach students in a better environment.
