Naqoura, Lebanon - Media agencies are invited on Saturday, 20 June, to the inauguration ceremony of a UNIFIL re-forestation of pine trees Quick Impact Project in Rashaya Al Fokhar.

The Municipality of Rashaya al Fokhar had approached UNIFIL to assist in the plantation of pine trees in the area so as to enhance the forest cover for environmental, health and recreational benefits to the entire population of the municipality and the region.

This is the first project of its kind initiated under UNIFIL's Quick Impact Projects with the Mission undertaking the initiative to sponsor the plantation of 3,100 pine trees.

The ceremony will take place at the Re-forestation site on the top of Rashaya al Fokhar village at 11:00 am on Saturday 20 June.

For all media wishing to attend, directions to the site will be placed on entering Rashaya al Fokhar.
