UNIFIL’s Sector West Command organized a Spartan Race, with participation of 15 teams operating under it, in the Sector Headquarters in Shaama, on Saturday.

UNIFIL’s Italian Battalion won the “Sector West Challenge,” which saw UNIFIL peacekeepers demonstrating agility and strength as they went along a path with various obstacles.

Through the event, the Sector West Command strived to galvanize the spirit among the peacekeepers to “overcome any obstacle with enthusiasm.”

Sector Commander Brigadier General Rodolfo Sganga highlighted the importance of such events in keeping the troops ready to take on any challenge with enthusiasm.
