Joint training between UNIFIL and Lebanese Army in Crowd and Riot Control

UNIFIL’s Italian Battalion, commanded by Colonel Massimo Crocco, today carried out a Crowd and Riot Control (CRC) training exercise with the Lebanese Armed Forces personnel in the Tyre district, south-western Lebanon.

 

The main purpose of the course, held in Al Mansouri, is to improving operational and tactical capabilities in the techniques and methods to adopt for crowd control, in order to mitigate any threat against public safety and hostile elements.

 

The peacekeepers’ initiative is part of a number of courses organized by the Italian troops in support of and strengthening the capabilities of the Lebanese Army in south Lebanon.
