A UNIFIL-facilitated olive harvesting in the south-eastern Lebanese village of Blida completed this week, with local farmers reaping the yields from the fields straddling both sides of the Blue Line.

UNIFIL Sector East conducted a series of joint training courses with the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) to enhance military cooperation and operational capabilities of both forces.

I warmly welcome His Excellency Minister Sleem to Naqoura today, where he will see the work we are doing jointly with LAF and visit the Blue Line. I have reiterated to the Minister that the Lebanese Armed Forces are UNIFIL’s strategic partners.
