UNIFIL peacekeepers collaborated last week with Lebanese security institutions and local women leaders from south Lebanon in three separate events aimed at advancing the role of women both in security institutions and in post-conflict communit

At the invitation of the Union of Tyre Municipalities, UNIFIL peacekeepers participated in the Tyre Craft Market Festival held in the heart of the city last week.

The UNIFIL Italian contingent is working this week to repair section of a vital road close to the UN mission’s headquarters in Naqoura that was heavily damaged during recent hostilities.
