On 27 November 2024, Lebanon woke up to a much-needed calm after more than two months of relentless hostilities that ravaged lives and communities – with south Lebanon being especially hit hard. 

UNIFIL peacekeepers have recently intensified night patrols along the Blue Line, in coordination with the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), building on the relative calm prevailing in the area.

In south Lebanon, local markets are slowly coming back to life as communities rebuild after months of hardship.
