As Brigadier General Paolo Fabbri passed the command of UNIFIL’s Sector West area of operation to Brigadier General Diodato Abagnara at a ceremony in the Sector Headquarters in Shamaa today, the parade of Ghanaian peacekeepers stood out with their all-women performance.

A seven-member delegation of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Lebanese Parliament visited the UNIFIL Headquarters and the Mission’s area of operation today to see first-hand the crucial work carried out by the UN peacekeeping force in south Lebanon.
