Aerobics for an Elementary School
In an effort to promote healthy habits, Ghanaian peacekeepers organized an aerobics session for the students of Al Boustan Public Elementary School.
The activity saw 30 students - 18 boys and 12 girls - participate in the hour-long exercise. During the session, the students learned about the numerous benefits of aerobic exercise, including increased stamina, fitness, agility, and enhanced mental well-being and self-esteem.
The session also aimed to promote teamwork and cohesion among the students, fostering a spirit of camaraderie and healthy competition.
At the end of the activity, Ms Nidad Ataya, the school principal, commended the Ghanaian peacekeepers and urged them to factor such programs into their outreach plans. She expressed her belief that these sessions would provide an opportunity to unearth special talents among the students and offer them the necessary guidance.
The event concluded with both staff and students expressing their happiness and anticipation for more such activities. The peacekeepers were pleased to have had the opportunity to contribute to the physical and mental well-being of the pupils and look forward to continuing their efforts to promote health and well-being in the local community.
