Yesterday afternoon, two Austrian peacekeepers in a logistics convoy traveling south from Beirut were injured in a traffic accident. While one injury was light, the second was more serious, but not life-threatening. The Lebanese Red Cross was on site and took both peacekeepers to hospital, where they were later released. Only UNIFIL vehicles were involved in the accident.
