UNIFIL’s Indian peacekeepers, together with the UN Mission’s Civil Affairs office and the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), opened a UNIFIL-supported playground for children in Abu Qamah, south-eastern Lebanon, earlier this week.

A UNIFIL delegation led by the Mission’s Sector West Commander Brigadier General Diodato Abagnara visited a women-only soccer team of south Lebanon recently as a display of encouragement for women’s participation in various spheres in the Mission’s area of operation.

A public school in Marjayoun in south-eastern Lebanon got a science laboratory last week with funding support from UNIFIL’s Quick Impact Project (QIP).
