In September , UNIFIL Sector East conducted, two training courses on identifying and detecting mines and explosives, for both the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) and UNIFIL personnel, at its base in Marjayoun in south-eastern Lebanon.

UNIFIL donated a significant number of UN assets to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), its intelligence wing and the Lebanese General Security over the past week, with the shared objective of promoting a climate of peace and stability in the UNIFIL area of operations in south Lebanon.

In order to build agricultural infrastructure for food security, UNIFIL supported local communities in south-eastern Lebanon with labour-saving agricultural equipment and tools last week.
