UNIFIL Head of Mission and Force Commander, Major General Michael Beary, today chaired a regular tripartite meeting with senior officials from the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF) and the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) at the UN position at Ras Al Naqoura.

The assembled group of 20 Internal Security Forces (ISF) personnel break into a round of applause as each of their colleague’s names are called. In turn they step up, shake hands with their chief and the UNIFIL trainers, and receive their certificates.

UNIFIL’s French contingent attached with the Force Commander’s Reserve (FCR), represented by its Commander, Colonel Nicolas Durand, today donated a number of items to the Regional Center of Lebanese Civil Defense of Tyre.
