UNIFIL today handed over one of its positions to the Lebanese Armed Forces (LAF), its strategic partner, at a ceremony in south-western Lebanon.

In recent days, several serious incidents have occurred across the Blue Line. These incidents have included rockets launched from south Lebanon into Israel, which drew retaliatory artillery fire by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) inside UNIFIL’s area of operations.

As the world marked World Creativity and Innovation Day yesterday, Lebanese women in the south-eastern village of Rachaya al Foukhar are benefitting from a UNIFIL-supported project that hones their skills in getting optimum benefits out of their home gardens.
