Inauguration of a water treatment system in Naqoura
The Municipality of Naqoura became the first one in UNIFIL's area of operations with a suitable water treatment system.
Thanks to a UNIFIL sponsored project (QIP), the sewage system of 230 houses in Naqoura has now been connected to the Mission's headquarter wastewater refinery. The cost of the project amounted to around $ 22,000.

Present at the ceremony were MP Abdul-Majid Saleh, President of the Union of Tyre Municipalities Mr. Abdul-Mohsen al-Husseini and Tyre District Commissioner Mr. Mohamad Jaffal, along with several mayors, mukhtars, and UNIFIL officials.
