Rockets have been launched from southern Lebanon into northern Israel and Israel Defense Forces has retaliated.

UNIFIL Head of Mission and Force Commander Major General Del Col is in direct contact with the parties urging all sides to exercise maximum restraint at this critical time.

UNIFIL peacekeepers are on the ground and working in close coordination with our strategic partners, the Lebanese Armed Forces who are working around the clock to provide security in the area.

In relation to reports of launch of rockets from south Lebanon into Israel, UNIFIL Head of Mission and Force Commander Major General Del Col is in touch with both parties urging maximum restraint and to cooperate with UNIFIL in order to prevent further escalation.
