As the school year in Lebanon winds down, teachers and students prepare their end of year celebrations and look forward to the summer break. It is a time for reflection.

To mark the 2018 Lebanese Children’s Day, UNIFIL’s Chinese Battalion (CHINBATT) organized a cultural exchange event at Cadmous College in Tyre, South Lebanon, last week.

Marking the International Day of UN Peacekeepers on 29 May, UNIFIL’s Gender Advisory Unit and the Mission’s Women Focal Point Margrit Hrandian paid tribute to a Ghanaian peacekeeper, Corporal Mercy Adade, who passed away recently, at a brief ceremony in the Mission Headquarters in Naqoura.
