UNIFIL Head of Mission and Force Commander Major General Stefano Del Col today joined local officials in opening a physiotherapy centre in Tyre, which received UNIFIL-donated equipment for the service of the local communities.

UNIFIL’s Italian and Finnish peacekeepers conducted a joint training last week with the aim of enhancing interoperability, reactivity and flexibility during joint operations while serving for peace in south Lebanon.

UNIFIL Sector West Headquarters in Shamaa, south Lebanon, today organized an exhibition of handicrafts and Lebanese cuisine with the aim to promote women-run local businesses in the UN Mission’s area of operation.
