As part of furthering peace in south Lebanon, UNIFIL peacekeepers work closely with the local communities in their area of operation to build trust and help keep the stability that has lasted for 11 years.
A UNIFIL-funded quick impact project was inaugurated last week at the Dayr Amis Municipality building in south Lebanon. The ceremony was attended by the Malaysian Contingent (MALBATT) Deputy Commander, the Mayor of Dayr Amis and other local authorities.
The medical team of UNIFIL’s Italian contingent recently organized a large-scale campaign in the town of Arzon in Tyre, south Lebanon.
