Belubatt provides valuable life skills training

UNIFIL's Belgian battalion (Belubatt) completed a four-month training program at the Amlieh Orphan Care Association in Tibnin, as one of their final community initiatives in south Lebanon.

The training program covered basic computer skills as well as lessons in hygiene and first-aid.

The program was Belubatt's efforts to contribute to the local community, apart from their regular duties as a demining battalion. It was also an opportunity to provide the children with relevant life skills in a technology-driven era. The children were excited to be able to use the computer to communicate with their friends.

Belubatt has announced that it will depart Lebanon towards the end of the year.
