In light of worrying developments across the Blue Line since the early morning, UNSCOL and UNIFIL call on all to cease fire and refrain from further escalatory action.

As communities in Lebanon and around the world celebrate Eid Al-Adha, the UN family reiterates its call for all actors along the Blue Line to put down their weapons and commit to a path of peace. 

It is six months since the exchanges of fire across the Blue Line began, and continue unabated, taking a heavy toll on both sides.  The lives of thousands of people have been profoundly affected.
