As the world marks the International Day for Mine Awareness and Assistance in Mine Action on 04 April 2021, UNIFIL peacekeepers continue to carry on with the painstaking but necessary work of clearing large swathes of south Lebanese lands of deadly mines.

UNIFIL peacekeepers operating in south-western Lebanon recently launched the “Together Against COVID” campaign as a way of streamlining ongoing UNIFIL support to the host communities in their common fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

UNIFIL peacekeepers from France and Ghana conducted last week a joint exercise to hone skills and procedures for the safe evacuation of a medical casualty in the main Ghanaian base in the village of Al-Qawzah, south-western Lebanon.
